What inspired you to become an artist?
I knew I wanted to make music, after hearing lil Waynes no ceilings MixTape, after hearing him,he just blew my mind.i knew I wanted to do that to,I knew I wanted to be a rapper after that,so me and a friend started making muisc we was freshmen in highschool after showing other friends and them hearing us they joined in, those were good times but only me and my close friend at the time his name was mike b. Continued with taking it seriously by sophomore year And senior year we dropped our 1st MixTape to all our friends and other surroundings schools it was called “the addiction” we printed blank CDs with our songs on them we must of made hundreds took forever to do that.lol our hit song was called “anonymous lady” I wish I still had that MixTape but that was years ago it was a good song you would of liked it,they even played us at the Sequoya prom party after the prom, that party was lit ???? we use to go from my grandma’s small town where I went to highschool at up to Tahlequah,Oklahoma were my mom and dad lived into Garden Walk apartment complex it was “Live” in there, that’s the block! We held it down, South 511 Rd,me and group of about 20 friends formed the group GMC known at that time as Get Money Clique but after altercation with the group we had a falling out so i took who was left and changed it to Green Making Crooks because thats what we did we made money(green) by any means we was in trouble alot something was always going down in there I was 18yrs old and Senior when i was arrested as an adult in there we put it all into muisc. I continue down that path along with many others until I started taking music more seriously and I started working full time and got sober I’m doing great now
Who are your biggest musical influences?
I would have to say lil peep he is one of my favorite artists of all time, him and juice wrld.lil peep’s song “save that shit” is a all time classic it’s beautiful what he did with his music he was truly something to listen to ????,and juice wrld was straight fire ???? he never disappointed, his cheese and dope freestyle is one of the sickest freestyle I ever heard I would highly recommend him to anyone who likes rap.
What is the story behind your stage name?
When I was younger and just starting out in music I called myself “Young D” I was in trouble alot and just into the wrong stuff at that time I was being reckless and that’s how I lived well one freestyle session I said and I quote “I’m a reckless MF’r call me reckless young D” and they did as the years went on I dropped the young D because everyone was just calling me wreckless and that’s how I wanted it spelt I wanted to stand out and be different I even have “young & wreckless” tattooed on my chest I got that done at the age of 18 that’s how everyone knows me as wreckless that was my nickname so I just used that as my stage name I’m a real one ???? it was 2008 at the age of 16 when I got that name
How would you describe your musical style?
I would describe it as truthful, real, sweetheart, and one of a kind I like how ruthless records said it on “real mother f’n G’s” he said and I quote “see I did dirt put in work, and many nuckas can vouch that,so since i earned stripes i got the right to rap about that”
Can you walk us through your writing and recording processes?
Sure, well I begin by playing a beat I like, if I decide I want to do that beat, then I open my notebook at the top of the page I write my ABC’s across it,why? Because any word you can think of has to start with your ABC’s therefore you can rhyme any word together, for example let’s rhyme “jump” go to your ABC’s A-Z and you will get “bump” your first word that rhymes, next will be “chump” and so on and when im ready to record depending on where im at,i have friends who have in home studios i can use, theres professional studios in tulsa they charge by the hour, but if im on the go with nothing else i use “Voloco” moble app its got auto tune and everything i need then when im done i download the Vocals and instrumental separate and upload in Bandlab studio and begin to edit then i run diagnostic and voice cleaner over it, mix it down and last i run it through “Edit mastering” comes out radio play and studio quality i taught myself everything I love music ???? I produce my own songs everything is all me,i produce some stuff for million dollar Rapper DUBBO from baby Grande Records before its been fun
What message do you hope to convey through your music?
I would say Love and keeping it real at the same time I’m truly a sweetheart I’ma hoodlum and a lover mixed together I’m ???? so I try to send a positive message to the youth, the millennials and so on its okay to express your feelings now days i do it best with a girl, but don’t get me wrong I’ll keep it hood too my advice to young people is just be yourself and be productive get creative and make the best of life talk to that girl your afraid to talk to atleast you can say you tried instead of wishing you did and to the gangster hold your head up bubba it gets better In time aslong as your trying there’s plenty of resources out there that can help you if you need help, you gotta make a change somewhere to get out of the cycle to get up out the loop so pull some strings and get it going. im praying for you’ll ????
Can you tell us about your latest Album or project?
Yes I would love to,I’m currently dropping my 2024 MixTape “Tramadols & Redbull” it’s gonna be a good one my personal opinion is that “this is one for the books” it’s going to have all types of mixes I’m sure everyone will be able to relate to it I’m sure everyone will enjoy it.you can listen to the album at Rapfame.app/dakota soldier and at Bandlab/dakota soldier I uploaded some videos with some of the songs in them on social media and they did really good had thousands of views i was happy my 2023 mixtape “Life of a Playboy” is on rapfame.app too! What is the most challenging aspect of creating music for you?
I’d say meeting new rappers,I recently had an experiences with a rapper who claimed he was a real one I know every rapper claims there a real one but lets just say lesson learned with him he folded under pressure and he got me caught up by doing so, collaboration can be tricky,my advice to fellow artists is be aware when you coll ab not everyone is real,i know my fans really respect and vibe with my music when you keep it real,so i keep it ???? just be sure to keep doing you at the end of the day
How do you deal with criticism and negative feedback?
I either ignore it or take it into consideration to better my next project but everyone has an opinion I just want people to know I’m very respectful.but as of right now I haven’t received much criticism or negative feedback I’m still a new and upcoming Artist so I’m looking forward to the future and see how im doing,I’m glad you asked that.i would consider myself a rookie in the game still with potential but im told my “im coming” and my “coming back” songs are fire ???? ???? im currently in the middle of finding me a camera man to shoot the music videos my Facebook artist profile is where I have been uploading my own homemade videos and putting my music in them and they been doing really good I’m really proud of that no rude comments or anything just thousands of views a few likes and comments from friends but everything is good the same for YouTube my Promoter i hired is very good she gets the job done God bless her
What sets you apart from other artists in the rap genre?
I would have to say realism I’ma real one real recognize real,I take from personal life experience or close friends or my brothers(members) we all been through something and I like to turn it into music I give them a voice to be heard with gangster Rap I keep it ????,with R&B I put love, respect, and loyalty into it,with hip hop i try to be kool and groovy at the same time i get it popping!
What was the biggest obstacle you faced as a musician and how did you over come it?
Addiction would be my biggest obstacle I over came,I used music to express emotions and that really helped me its still helps me to stay sober along with meetings, church, and medication and of course best friends ???? all my best friends are girls! I’ve had them since I was a youngster I grew up with them we were all close at one point, Taylor I believe is just to the point she tired of me relapsing and these past few years she hasn’t said much I think in 2022 she pulled into my grandmas when i was out there shooting around the basketball and we talked she wasn’t to happy with me at that time i dont think she still is but i love her we’ll always be best friends, Brittney is my favorite.lol we been through everything together she was always by my side so much love there for her way to many stories to tell i know she loves and cares for me as much as i do for her ???? at one point i was determined i was gonna marry her but she’s happy where’s she’s at and that’s all i want for her, she has been a big help in my recovery God bless her and look over her and her family Amen,we’ll always be best friends ????,and April is one of kind im so blessed by the lord to have her with me we go good together i actually stay with her sometimes she’s always there for me when i need help my mother really likes her my mom’s always asking and checking on her she worries us sometime ???? but I’m so glad to have her as a best friend ???? I’ll see her in a lil bit actually I’m texting her right now.lol we’ll always be best friends ???? music has been such a blessing for me I can write my feelings down and express them through it in my song “I’m coming” I wrote ” i wanna change for you i wanna turn around” i really ment that to the girl i was talking about her names Fayth Erin Washington from moody,ok thats my crush,my love,my heart, im so in love with that girl right now i can always talk to her im always honest with her i tell her everything my whole family knows how i feel about her she’s a really good girl I rember when I met her almost 5 years ago we’ve talked on and off the whole time I think if I fall in love again that’s who it’s gonna be with but only God knows what he has in store for me she’s my inspiration to stay sober “i wanna change for you ????”
Who are your dream collaborations and why?
Sten joddi and because he is a native American rapper he’s also a positive role model for the youth, millennials and so on i truly do worry for them i remember how music influenced me at that age and which direction my life went we as Artists we dont realize how much of an effect we have on young people but all the natives love him and they support him he’s truly inspiring in my community and in my state I’m from Oklahoma my city is Tahlequah head quarters for the Cherokee nation im also Cheyenne our head quarters is in El Reno,Ok and our reservation is in lame deer, Montana but i was so happy to find out who he was when i seen him in “reservation dogs”TV Network show on FX and Hulu his “greasy fry bread” song was popping! ???? He’s very skilled at his craft, also I would like to mention North Side Baby!!!! I really vibe and rock with his music ???? I can relate to alot of his songs, that “Im Sorry” he did was truly amazing to hear he blew my mind how good he sounds hearing that song inspired my “Im coming” song. you can still catch me singing and listening to it I show all the girls, then i show em mine.lol
Can you discuss a time when you faced a creative block and how you over came it?
I just now finished my MixTape for this year and I recently was talking about this to a friend I was like “I don’t think I can write anymore,I ran out of spit” I’m glad I was finished with all my songs for the MixTape I had enough material to work with so it hasn’t been a problem yet
How has your hometown and your community influenced your music?
My hometown is the city of Tahlequah,Oklahoma and the influence for music has grown here there’s plenty of things to talk about good and bad and my community would be “Garden Walk” south 511 Rd if your from where im from then you know whats up,we live by the code die by the code,in 2021 i caught a felony charge of “Assault and Battery with a Dangerous weapon” in there,at court they were trying to give me 20 years in prison for that one, after I got out of that situation by a new law passed called the “Mcgirt law” my family sent me to my grandma’s to stay out of trouble i been doing good ever since
What advice would you give to aspiring Artist?
To invest in yourself! It takes money to make money everyone thinks there going to make that one song and become rich and famous off it I wish that’s how it worked but that’s not the case, what I did was decide if I was gonna take music serious this year or not.and I did,so I got a job and worked full time 40 hours a week all-day, everyday, when i got paid I payed my bills and got food what was left over i put into music and it payed off now my music being played on the radio, Spotify, youtube and social media it cost money to do all that stuff like promotions and lable submissions and subscriptions all cost money I’m thankful for every opportunity I’ve been given i had to buy publishing rights on tunecore and pay alot of money to get in Spotify playlist and promoting I used soundcampaign not cheap I tell you that.and the rap fame.app is very Kool I would suggest it to new artist they would like it, I really did. it’s got everything you can want and hope for on it, it don’t cost that much to do stuff on there, but im growing as an Artist slowly i really enjoy doing this im popular amongst friends and my community, but i’ve always been popular im one of the kool kids who does kool stuff you cant sit with us if you aint in with the kool kats.lol
What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not making music?
You can find me with friends! And family I got 3 kids my mother has full custody of them I get to see them any time I want,I’m so happy the Lord looked after us after everything I been through. and I’m so thankful for friends. I’m in love with all my best friends and the girls I’ve made songs about they really are good girls and I’m glad I got to have that exspiernce with them, shout out to April escalante and Taylor proctor and Brittney Nipps, others like fay erin and vaida voigt and Shelby Cummings and Kristin harjo my baby mama Tori mouse I have the best baby mamas there so pretty my mother handles everything though,I’m to wild for them.lol but everyone of them is in my prayers at night.also in my free time I like working and making money I love getting up and going to work early I really do everyone so proud of me for doing that and doing good ig you can say a lot people get hurt when I start doing bad who love and care for me that gangster mentality is almost out of my head at this age so just hang in there guys I’m still maturing little by little also me and april will have tshirts for sale so pls support me and buy one to all my fans out there contact me personally at 918-506-8826 is my cell number and follow me on Facebook at “Dakota Dsoldier”you can email me at @Dakota Soldier00@gmail.com ask about the T-shirt ???? for sale if you want a custom design or one with full color message me and tell us,are website should be up soon where you can order yourself and pay online. but until then we are still available personally dont be afraid to contact us we are nice people and want to continue producing music for you guys even videos and pictures so pls support us and help me out by buying a T-shirt ,my brand is “Dope ???? What are your favorite and least favorite things about the music industry?
Illuminati.lol I’m against satanic worship, other then that the music industry is good i dont know much about “AI” but im hearing and reading stuff im seeing things i never seen before how it all works with Artificial Intelligence is truly scary I don’t know if its good or bad how do you explain that kind of stuff to the youth if you google it it won’t give you a straight awnser and how it was created doesn’t explain that at all, truly scary to be seeing stuff like that so be aware of the times we are living in, me and my friends and family go to church no matter what,so just be aware of that stuff please. #Loveouryouth #millennials #oklahoma #indiana #united states #world #jesuslovesyou

What was the biggest lesson you learned from your musical journey so far?
???? Love through out my life I met some very beautiful girls some sweetheart very down to earth girls, they were very godly I enjoyed every moment and minute with them, I’m so glad I got that experience, God is good.one I will never forget is “Vaida voigt” she’s from Indiana, I met her during my time there, she was working and we just so happen to have time to get to know each other. tbh I got her number but she told me not to tell anyone but,i was just so happy that kind of girl would even talk to me. trust me it was not easy and alot of time and months got put in to that, but to me thats the kind of girl you marry and take to heaven with you,the bible says “we will leave our mothers and fathers and become one with our wife” so when you get married its forever in gods eyes, literally.so just don’t be falling in love with anyone theres good girls out there that’s why i encourage the youth to keep trying, even if she not feeling you at first.its not post to be easy, then anyone could get her. if its hard for you, its hard for others.she showing you what’s kind of girl she is,shes loyal, trustworthy and a one love type of girl, thats the kind of girl you want in this world we live in today.Vaida gave what everyone else saw as a Addict some simple conversation,we aint all bad we all got hearts to. you never know whats gonna happen but atleast try that’s my advice to young people #millennials
Can you tell us about a memorable performance you’ve had?
TBH I never performed before,I’m still a new and upcoming rapper but I’m sure I will soon,I had a offer to go on tour this year but I turned it down because I felt I wasn’t ready I will have another opportunity to go on tour next year I’m sure I will be ready by then,I was also thinking of renting out the “Coleman theater” in Miami,Oklahoma and doing a show there for college kids at NEO I could invite other artists it would be kool to do for them im currently trying to see about doing something here in my hometown for the university here college kids know how to party.lol
What are your future plans for your career as an Artist?
I plan on getting more music on Spotify and YouTube,I use tunecore for Distribution for my music, you have to license the beat before upload and get approved by the distribution team then it goes Live and is sent to all digital stores including Spotify and Apple music, then I run a campaign using soundcampaign to promote the song and for YouTube I’m currently looking for a camera man/producers to make some real music videos I have plenty of goals for my future as an Artist
What is the biggest challenge you face as performer?
Stage fright I still get nervous when I think about standing in front of so many people doing a “Live performance” I been practicing though I recently got up in front of my class at the institution I was in, there was alot of people was in there,I gave my life story speech.everyone told me I did good after I was done everyone said I did good.that really gives me encouragement to be able to get up in front of so many people and do it,i also got up in front of everyone at church and read from the Bible that was good to do.everyone was glad and happy i got up there, and im getting better at it every time so im thinking my first performance is going to be a good one, practice makes perfect
Can you discuss a time when you faced adversity and how you over came it?
It was misfortunate how I was treated as a teenager I’d say between the ages of 13 and 14 I was picked on and bullied at age 14 I had my first fist fight and I won,by age 15 and 16 I was developing a mentality most teens develope today at that age, my advice to them is,”jail is where that kind of behavior leads to” thats where men are made,so be aware of that kids.thinking your the baddest out there.you’ll find out what jails and prison is about nothing like the streets.its best you do something positive while you Still can,and how did I overcome it? Im blessed to say today I don’t condone violent behavior anymore
What do you think is the most important quality for a successful artist?
I would say the way you tell a story, everyone loves to hear a good story in a song that stuff gets views and everyone can relate if it’s a good topic,if it’s about girl be sweet and truthful add some romance and pick a good R&B beat.you also need to invest in yourself I can’t stress that enough and you need to promote, promote, promote.get out there and get known, yes it’s alot of work but it’s worth after all,its part of the game, you have to put in work to be successful
How do you stay motivated and focused on your goals as a musician?
I stay motivated and inspired by music I’m always listening and checking out new artists it helps me to stay focused,it gives me motivation to hear a new artist wreck that beat, that’s motivating to keep going, there really are talented under ground artists out there I like giving them a chance and hearing there stuff, the ones not signed and just starting out, there really motivated, its amazing to watch them and watch what they can do.as for my goals I like to pray and just trust the lord.im staying busy working for example i just recently saved money to pay my warrant off next i will start a new better paying job and get back on my feet again.one goal of mine is T-shirts i want to sell T-shirts its really productive and creative and will help me stay out of trouble i just found a deal that im making to get them so i will have them in any size with my brand on them “Dope???? GaNg trap.productions”logo,me and my best friend came up with the idea, I’m so thankful for April she really cares for me,pls contact us at@Dakota Soldier00@gmail.com and my number at 918-506-8826 to purchase a T-shirt free shipping we just need your address to Mail it to you thank you so much God bless you’ll and if you want to follow me to see my content my personal homemade videos pls follow me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/dakota.duane?mibextid=ZbWKwL,I produce my own stuff for my friends and followers its kool come see what im up too,and what my hometown is up to.home of the cherokee nation native Americans
Can you tell us about a project or a song that holds a special place in your heart?
Yes I would love to, I’ve done a few songs mentioning a girl that’s came from true events I’ve actually met or know these girls there all good girls ???? it truly was amazing the time i spent with them,i just want them to know you truly made an impact on my life the 2 songs i would say are special and i hold dearly in my heart are “im in love with Indiana” and “im coming” in the song “im in love with Indiana ” i say and i quote “well im starring at your Facebook, and it’s been the longest day,and i remember all the moments and the memories we made”-wreckless that girl was a Damsel, young and cute she was so nice,i never seen or heard from her again after i came back to Oklahoma she will forever hold a place in my heart, it comes from God.and the other song “im coming” well im so in love with that girl the song explains it all, when i was done recording i sent it to her,she immediately messaged back she loved it.lol she’s been in my life on and off now for awhile now i’ve always talked to her and been honest with her. we are currently not together though, but I’m still in contact with her and praying for her, only God knows what he has in store for me.she’s a Sunday school teacher at her church im so blessed to know her, she knows alot about me.lol #onlyoneiwantonlyoneilove
What do you think is the role of an Artist in society?
Play your part, the role of an artist in society is to teach, give knowledge, and wisdom to the youth,I don’t know the exact percentage but I know alot of the percentage of people who listen to music is young people, the youth and Millennials.they idolize us as Artist, they hear us and see us and then they wanna be like us,they wanna be kool to and do the kool stuff.its what Kool kids do,your not popular if your not kool.well In doing that, try to be a positive role model i know no one is perfect we all make mistakes lord knows i do,but try to be positive you never know who’s watching or who you influence my family is not supportive when it comes to gangster rap my grandpa is a preacher at hillside Baptist Church and they will not tolerate my actions or Glorifying that life style but i see others and so ima continue to do me,my advice is good music is good music but dont let it determine the rest of your life.just be you god knows the heart God knows the truth
What is your favorite and least favorite part of the touring process?
I haven’t been on tour yet I had an offer this year I turned down because I was ready with my stage fright and I just felt I wasn’t ready as an Artist yet but I will have another chance to go on tour next year I have a few famous friends I currently been entering song contests I did pretty good in them
What can fans expect from you in the future?
Fans can expect more music and more of me as an artist as I continue to grow In the music industry and on social media you can find me in Oklahoma always, plotting and planning on how to grow as an artist in so thankful for my fans God bless every one of you’ll,your in my prayers and im praying every night for each and every one of you’ll and if your on social media and you haven’t added or followed me yet i strongly recommend you do Facebook is where I’ve been most active and its where i make and release my muisc first im always making content so come see what im up too,and shout out to all my facebook friends thanks for watching
